The Petri/Hannibal Duo played its first concert in Autumn 1991 and since then, they have performed extensively in Europe, North and South America, Japan, China and Korea, giving more than 1.500 concerts in a repertoire spanning from late renaissance and early baroque, over the classical and romantic periods, to contemporary music written especially for the duo.
They have played in many of the world’s major Concert Halls and Festivals, and released 6 cds together. In 2001, their third cd Kreisler Inspirations received the prestigious Deutscher Schallplattenpreis.
Their CD Siesta from 2006, featuring Latin-inspired music, was released on their own recording company OUR Recordings, and in 2010 their latest CD Café Vienna was released. Under repertoire you can find 2 examples for a recital programme. In connection with Petri/Hannibal Duo`s 20 years Anniversary in season 2011/12 OUR Recordings released in September 2011, a new album “Virtuoso Baroque”!
Conversation, companionship and communication – these are the keywords in the universe of Michala Petri and Lars Hannibal.
